Ph sits around 6.2-6.4 co2 controlled.
    Temperature is 28 C or 80 F (around)
Nitrates are 0 or about. My tests aren't that specific.

I use an ehiem pro 2, I think the 2028 model.

BTW I love my new 24 watt uv sterilizer !!!! GREEN KILLING MACHINE!

Recommended to anyone who can get their hands on it !

Your pH is very good as are your nitrates; you are at the low end of temperature compared to anyone I've seen in a forum. Most discus keeper's never go below 82 F. The Germans I've read about tend higher (86 F) so that is where I keep mine.

This does NOT mean that your temp is wrong or too low only that few use that temperature.

I agree that UV sterilizers are good and my canister has one - get at helping to stop algae or Ick.

Do include a full picture of the tank if you can - from the small shots, it really looks good. Also, what do you feed them - they look very healthy.
    Knowledge is fun(damental)

A 75 gal with eight Discus, fake plants, and a lot of wood also with sand substrate. Clean up crew is down to just two Sterba's Corys. Filters: continuous new water flow; canister w/UV, in-tank algae scrubber!! Finally, junked the nitrate removal unit from hell.
