aquatic gardens mini hex kit
so I inherited an aquatic gardens mini hex kit from my girlfriends uncle. Here is a link to one.

anyway… does anybody have any experience with these?
I have some questions for some one who knows these things.
How does the under gravel filter work?
Does it work well enough to get away with weekly water changes, or will I need more water changes?
I don’t see any where to put any filter media in it.
Is there no media in an under gravel filter?
Is this little thing a waste of time?
Is there still a cycle with this thing?
Any info would be great.
Thank you
James

I imagine its just a hex version of the mini-bows. I have a mini-bow that came with a UGF. Personally I dont trust UGF's....you could try a small filter, like the whisper 3i (I have it on my minibow) or an azoo palm filter (you can get it from drs. foster & smith). I keep a betta in my mini bow.
And no there is no filter media with a UGF*Keep Smiling, It Makes People Wonder What Your Up To*

Megan, Drs. Foster & Smith is a very very good site to order stuff from. cheap priced items, and pretty fast shipping. OH and drawnon, like the avatar lol.
