How about buying a nano set up with a view to setting up for your girlfriend? Set it up on her desk or something. Or next to the couch spot where she sits. Make it an amazing Amano-style set-up with shrimp or something. Get her interested and you'll be set for life

I don't have a python water changer...i just dont know how that work work in my current tank set up. so I have held off on getting one.

valid points on getting a small tank set up for her. I'll run that by her and see her thoughts.
