Your options are endless with a 125, here's 1 list I quite like.
10 sterba corys
10 peppered corys
3 BN plecos
10 khuli loaches
4 male Bolivian rams
2 German Blue males
1 Apisto Caca
1 Apisto agasizzi
1 Apisto Boreli
1 male or female krib (females often prettier than males)
15 congo tetras
6 Golden wonder panchax
Just an ideaMy therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

The only problem I see with that tank is that it belongs in my living room with Severums and Blood parrots in it. Most cichlids will not tear up plants that are attached to wood.
You may find it a little unhandy behind the couch, tho, for maintence and cleaning. Altho it looks nice, I think might be an issue for numerous reasons. It looks very nice and will be awesome once you attach the anubias. Floating plants will look neat, too.
Give yourself time to cycle it and save yourself a bunch of work.

Sorry I did not respond sooner, that tank has been behind the couch for over 2 years, when its time to clean I move the couch :-) I wanted the little ones who could not see into the tank to be able to enjoy it also.
