Looks like I'm getting more java ferns... there's a bunch of brown stringy stuff growing off the bottom of a leaf on one plant!

Does it look like a root coming out of the leaf? If so, that is a good thing because Java's propagate that way. It also means the plant is healthy and doing what it is supposed to do. Can you post a pic?

Can't get a good pic... it's on the back of a leaf in the middle of the tank. It's definitely roots and it's even got a tiny leaf starting to form!

Got a closer look... there's at least four little guys forming on this leaf, one is hanging on the very end of the leaf! Yay free plants!

So I saw dwarf baby tears at one of the better lfs... they are so cool, but it seems they are a rather "difficult" plant. They had an awesome tank with a nice carpet of them, but it was high tech (CO2, probably high lighting, etc...) Do the plant experts here think it would be worth trying them in this low tech, 1.8 wpg tank? Don't want to waste $$ on a plant that will die in this tank, and don't want to go high tech...
Do I give them a try, or look for something else?
Thanks!
