Synodontis Multipunctatus sick?
I have a Synodontis Multipunctatus Catfish that i just noticed a large pale spot on his side. Could this be a symptom of an illness? If so, what? He seems to be acting normal, but I know that this spot was not there before. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

a large pale spot that isn't congenital is likely an indication that something is wrong. it could be fungal(if it is fuzzy) or caused by bacteria, or by the fish's tankmates(quarrels, etc). in any case you would have to provide a bit more information for a good diagnosis on the forum, such as tank size, your water parameters(ammonia, nitrite, nitrate), your maintenance schedule, tankmates, etc.

45 gallon planted tank. I don't know the numbers, but I took a water sample in to my LFS and they told me my water was good, ph was on the low side, but was fine. I do a 50% change once a week. Tank mates include, blehri rainbows, goyder river rainbows, roslelines, rosy barbs, danios, oto cats,Amani shrimp, and a gourami

So I must have been seeing things. The spot is gone. I am quite sure that I saw something last night, but he looks totally normal now. So thanks anyways but he seems fine.
