  1. Default Feeding Bloodfins

I'm stocking 12 bloodfins and am in the process of figuring out their diet. I've got a small amount of wardley advanced nutrition that I'm going to use as the base but not sure what to use in addition. Any other advice would also be appreciated. Thanks!

The thing with them is that they are not fussy eaters at all. Feed them a varied diet and they will do fine. Feed them flake (I use tetras color) daily and mix frozen or live foods every three or four days.

Thats what I was thinking just wanted to make sure. I got the small thing of flakes for 3 bucks are these good quality and worth the 15 bucks for the larger container when I run out?

If you are asking about the quality of Wardleys, then I don't think so.

I completely concur. High quality foods I would suggest are Hikari, Kens, Ocean Nutrition, or New Life Spectrum. Quality food is only incrementally more expensive than junk, & it's so worth it.

Thanks I wasn't sure what to look for so only got a small amount. I'll order better quality flakes and start them after the wardley is used.

I have ten bloodfins in my tank. They get flake food and once a week they will get blood worms.

That's what I'm planning, 5 days of flakes then on Sunday a frozen food (not sure what yet think blood worms or brine shrimp) and fast on Monday.
