Fish preference to different live foods.
As I have noticed that certain types of my fish prefer certain live foods, I`d like to see if anybody else has noticed this or something else. I also would like your personal experience with all different fish and live foods.
My lfs sells live blackworms and live brineshrimp so here`s the list for each one:
Blackworms:kribs
Brineshrimp: glowlight tetras, lemon tetras, platies, guppies

I know my discus and other fish prefer the live foods. Be it worms or brine shrimp, they never last long in any tank get devoured too quickly. For raising and growing out my discus fry, I tend to do a mix of live and dry foods. I know for the fish I've gotten better growth rates with the live foods. Though really it takes time to figure out what foods will work for your particular fry to get that optimal growth out of them. Nutritionally I think live is the way to go.
By the way for brine shrimp you can get eggs and hatch them when you need them. A small can of the stuff will last you a long time. Think the can I got was from kensfish.com.
