HELP fish may be sick

Hey all
Its been awhile since Ive posted due to the holidays but now I need help. In my 46 bow front one of my females guppies seems to be acting weird. It started two days ago and originally I thought she gave birth. She seems to be swimming wierd and listing a bit to one side. Earlier todays her gills seemed inflamed, they look better now. Something defitly seems off.

On a side note I have noticed that my filters seem to have a bunch of this brown slime sludge stuff on it. Is this the bacteria?

Yes, the brown sludge on your filter most likely is beneficial bacteria. As for the guppy, frankly I don't really see anything abnormal with it at all(but then you should also know best since its your fish) if you still are worried I would do a couple of water changes and keep an eye on it, since it really isn't showing any obvious ill symptoms. If the "illness" is temporary it could also be that the guppy overate. I find that my guppies sometimes have difficulties swimming after eating a lot and as they process the food their "condition" slowly disappears.
