[QUOTE=animalluver]I already put a flake food on the list of items to get./QUOTE]
FYI - The food brands posted by Gogi are of far higher quality than the ones you listed.
Quality food, Proper stocking, Good & habitual QT practices & tank maintenance = Healthy colorful fish.
Gas mileage isn't everything OIIIIIIIO
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.
A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.

Fish food flakes take time to rot & produce ammonia and you don't get such a consistent reading that way.
Pure ammonia is much easier to dose - you get a bottle that doesn't foam up when you shake it and add small amounts until you get a reading of about 2-3ppm and you're on your way.46 gal fw tank with black skirt tetras, neon tetras, spotted corys, cherry barbs, otoclinus, snails & 4 amano shrimp - plastic & live plants
