Wild caught Rhamdia quelens
Most people may not know this species. It lives in clear running streams in South America and Trinidad. An omnivorous and opportunistic hunter. May reach up to 18 inches but usually maxes out at 12. They are active both at day and night. Rhamdia prefer a ph on the mildly acidic to neutral range but are also very adaptable. This fish was caught yesterday and will remain in quarantine till I determine it is healthy enough to go into the display tank.

Very nice catfish Aeonflame. I dont think that Rhamdia quelen would do well with my tetras. Or should I say my Tetras wouldn't be well with that cat in their tank. Tetra snack.
