Oranda's fins icy white at the edges

and her dorsal fin is down. She's a calico and has been staying on the bottom this afternoon. I fed her peas in case it's constipation, but I'm wondering about a fin disease.

I just did a 25% water change two days ago.

going onto her side, etc., and swimming with a kind of spasmodic quality....kind of shaking - swim bladder?

I treated with API tetracycline this afternoon. Erratic swimming begun later this evening.

When you tested you water parameters, what was the results ? Most fish clamp there fins when stressed or in bad water conditions.

Did you confirm your fish has fin rot ? White coloring around the edges of the fins can be a sign of fin rot

You didn't post your parameters

I hope you're aware that a 20gal tank is too small for those 2 goldfish - they will eventually grow much larger than 2".

and she died overnight. Her tankmate has it today and I'm afraid he won't make it either. Treating with Maracide and heating up the water, and covering the tank to keep the light out.

I'm setting up a smaller tank to move the neons into, though I imagine they don't have much of a chance.

They have done well in this tank for about 3 weeks, as did the orandas, Nonie and Billy. The illness began showing after I cleaned the tank day before yesterday.

I didn't take the parameters because I'd put Tetracycline into the water. Now there's Maracide in there also, since the Tetracycline hadn't kept it from becoming worse.

I know perfectly well that this tank is not proper for full-sized goldfish, but it was fine for the 2 inch ones with plenty of room for them to grow before they'd go into the 75 gal I will have down the road anyway.
