Just came across this video of an amazing fish (in a messed up situation) that has overcome the odds, so to speak. Check it out... and if you're sqeamish about feeders, skip it.

I'm not going to comment on the feeder fish (because I hate it), but that tank looks a bit tight for that pacu. He must have a hell of a filtration system to deal with the amount of waste it produces?

It just amazes me that the poor fishes tank is in adequate, its diet is improper, and yet its 44 years old. Nature truely adapts!

True, but it should not have to in an aquarium setting.

I read that the owner stated he feared that changing the tank for a bigger one may stress the old guy, but why not do it 30 years ago when it wasn't so old? And as an aquarium shop owner, what's his excuse for feeders. He should know about the dietary requirements of every fish he sells. Pacu aren't carnivours! Imagine the advice novice shoppers get at that store!
