Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted so here's what is going on.

Buyers are coming for the remainder of the discus next week.

Here's my plan as soon as the discus are gone, as in the same day.

1. Remove heaters.
2. Treat with chemi clean to get rid of the cynobacteria.
3. Replace my uv sterilizer bulb and clean the quartz sleeve.
4. Add some more plants, crypts and hopefully my supplier gets my Red tiger lotuses in by then.
5. As far as the stocklist is concerned, I'm getting Denison Barbs :D, at least 12 of them. I know how hard they are to get in the states and trust me, they're even harder to get here. They're costing roughly $12 USD a piece which isn't bad compared to some of the prices I've seen online, still pretty costly IMO.

With the exception of the 6 bolivian rams, I've decided to go with an endangered species tank:

12 Lake Wanam (Emerald) Rainbowfish

12 Denison Barbs

Sounds like a great Idea. I've always liked what I've read about Lake Wanam rainbows but never seen a live one. Great choices!!

Mojo that's awesome! I'm working on a Dennison barb tank myself, only a 90 gallon so I'll have a smaller school of 6 - 8. I'm going to watch this close so I can learn about them right along with you. :)

@ steeler1 The wanams have a great personality, I'll be sure to upload some nice videos when my tank is back up to where I want it to be so you can check them out for yourself.

@Crunchyleaf If your stock list / filtration permits it, I would say go for the 8 man. I'll keep an eyes on yours also for comparison as I'll be keeping mines in a pH of 8.3-.4

I know breeding of the denisons in home aquaria is practically unheard of but here's my theory. Research suggests that they spawn in large groups and form trios, 1 male 2 females and they have to be mature fish. They're usually around 5 inches around this time. My theory is that due to their cost they are usually kept in small schools and smaller tanks. I know they probably won't spawn for me anytime soon but who knows what may happen in the future, I might even get 14, majority female if I can differentiate but sexing is really difficult.
