  1. Default Home depot lights, or should I stop being cheap

So a double bulb 24" ho t5 LAMP COST $109 at the Local LFS, a 24" double lamp running 6500k at home depot is $25.

My question is for a 16" deep tank that is going to house at least an anenome, and other coral as I learn the tricks to SW, why wouldn't one or two of these lamps from Home Depot with the t5 bulbs, be sufficient?

I'm sorry to say, that lighting would not even be close actually. The wattage and color temp is wrong for corals, anemones, and will promot marine algae very well.

    The below links might help

Other than the anemone, what type of corals are you wanting to keep and how big is the tank ?
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I can help with some lighting recommendatios if you let me know how big the tank is and what type of corals you are thinking about
