Help with Rainbow Chiclid Fry
Okay, so my rainbows after pairing are on there 2nd attempt of having fry and i need some help and advice
Last time I put up a tank separation but the fry still got through the little gaps after a weak then the remaining got eaten
by the male wanting to spawn again so im thinking this time separating the fry.
Today is the day they hatched and become wriglers.
Im wondering when to separate the fry and how?
I dont have another tank for the fry, can i use some type of container?
If so how should this be set up?
I have a matured internal filter currently getting used in my 100G which i could use but i think it would be too powerful in a container.
Can i use a airpump and do daily w/c?
Thank you in advance!100 gallon dirt planted tank

You can separate fry when they are free swimming, but what is typically done is that the parents are removed because they are easier to catch.
I would just get ready for the next time, and not worry about this batch. You will need a heater, sponge filter, and air pump as well as another tank.Last edited by Rocksor; 12-14-2012 at 02:16 PM.
