  1. Default Fishless Stocking?

We're looking to add a third tank, but this time without fish -- just watery critters. Currently there are amano, cherry red, and bumblebee shrimps; nerite, trumpet, and basic pond snails (on purpose!) assorted around in the current two.

Other than various shrimps and snails, the dwarf frogs... is there anything else that could be kept in a non-fishy community? I can't think of anything, and not much comes up in searches, I don't know if I'm using the correct words and/or phrases...

All planted freshwaters, btw. The third tank would likely be 10 gallons, so obviously small species. Unless there is something large out there that my husband couldn't possibly resist -- I'm still pulling for that 75.

    Thanks, if you've input. ;)

The only thing that you haven't mentioned yet is one of those blue lobsters.

I'm concerned a crayfish would eat anything else I tried to put in there with him.

That's a good one LOL, and a legitimate concern.

How about an otter? Oh wait, tank is too small!

    Crayfish came to mind, too...

Dam, I was going to suggest an Otter too.

You've pretty much covered the bases tbh.

I'd suggest 2 different types of shrimp that won't interbreed, maybe 3 if you can get a non interbreeding mix.

Maybe something like CRS, Bumblebees and Amanos?

It's ages since I looked into it so I can't remember what can breed with what.
Used to try and keep track of my fish here.....

This is a good chart to consult if you plan multiple shrimp species:
