Alternatives to which fish, are you looking for something you can keep with Peacocks or something you can keep with Severums?

There is no such thing as non-aggressive cichlids. They all have the capabilty and propensity to be aggressive because they are territorial by nature.

What size tank? Many cichlids go well with severums, you just need to have a large enough tank.

Agreed on needing to know the tank size, sevs get big. You have plenty of options though. Firemouths, convicts, non-aggressive geophagus, I have even seen them with Jewels and Texas cichlids. For some reason the sevs just don't seem to draw the attention from the nastier fish. You need a big tank though.
