how long does it take Blood Parrots to get "used" to each other

So i added a 3rd wheel, to my 2 parrots, actually saved it from unspected petco people. anyway that was about a week ago and sometimes its still mean, pretty mean. not all the time but when it happens he chases only the other 2 parrots around the tank, not just to there hiding places but in there places then he bullies them out. I really like this parrot's look but i figured his bullying would stop soon. The others dont do anything. since the bullied parrots are pushed into hiding that also starts a fight with one of my parrots and DG. his rule is the plants and he has no problem going against a fish 3 times his size...

Normally old fish are mean to the newbie, and that can diminish over time, but if the new fish is aggressive to the old fish then I don't think that is going away too soon.

One time at the fish store, I saw this blood parrot all alone in a tank and all the others in other tanks. I asked why was one all alone and they told me he was too mean to keep with the others. Only time I had seen that.

I have added new parrots with older parrots a couple times and had no problem (other than normal pecking order) but most of my parrots were raised together.

Is this a young parrot that was with other parrots? He almost sounds to me as this was a parrot that was raised with more dominate cichlids and learned early on he had to defend himself. It really is odd behavior for a parrot that was the others.

Chasing is about all they can do, however. They can't rip the hide out of each other but constant chasing will keep the others stressed out, too, so he just might not work out for you. Can you try to rearrange the tank so it's new to all of them?

i did arrange the tank, he was ramming the them as of today.. he is now in the QT.. he does not mess with any other fish. maybe my frined will want him but since he is mean, i guess he dont need a bud like most of yall recomend, lol.. I figured that if the new was the bully it would be bad.. and i really like the shape of him.. ohwell

Sorry your having a hard time adding new fish in the tank. Like LH said usually the older residents bully the newcomers. First the Bleeding Hearts now this.

How did the Lemon Tetras work out by the way?
