    Question The Assassin Snail

    I want to get a few Assassin Snails but I di not have sand in my aquarium I know they like sand but do they have it have sand to live/or be healthy?
    30 gal Freshwater
    1 young Angel, 6 Pepper Corydoras, 5 Harlequin Rasbora 1 Bristle-nose Pleco

    nope. They do just fine in gravel too. I've got tons of them in my tank with special plant gravel.
    300 gallon mega tank: build in progress
    75 gallon community tank: tetras, danios, corys, platies, otos, pearl gouramis, bristlenose pleco, assassin snails, red cherry shrimp, bamboo shrimp
    70 gallon growout tank: clown loaches, sailfin pleco
    60 gallon goldfish tank: fancy goldfish
    29 gallon frog tank / 10 gallon tadpole tank: 1 leopard frog, 1 tadpole
    10 gallon and 5.5 gallon betta tanks: 1 male betta each, sometimes snails
