Information Please
First can you tell me do the Assassin Snail really get the pest snail problem under control? I am looking for something to help with my snail population. How many would I need and where do you buy them? When I first got my pest snails for my GS Puffer I just ordered them from someone on line but they were not kept in the tank with him. If I get the Assassin Snail it will go in the tank with my fish and I don't want them to end up sick.

assassin snails WILL eradicate a pest snail population, but it doesn't happen over night. They only eat so many snails at a time. Depending on how many you start out with, it may take until the assassins themselves start reproducing before they start putting a dent in the others. I started with three because that was all the fish store had... it took months, but now I have no pond snails and 50-100 assassin snails. I guess I could make some money selling them off if I wanted to.
If you can't find any in your local fish stores you could try aquabid, looks like there's a lot up for grabs there.300 gallon mega tank: build in progress
