water spritze

Hello,
sorry about the spelling it might be wrong, I would like to add a couple of these for my betta as floating plants, I already have an anubia and some java fern in there, so far he doesn't seem to care much about them.
what do you think?

Is this the floating or rooted kind? The bettas I have all enjoy cover(floating watersprite). If the water sprite is big enough, bettas may wind through it at the surface, which is pretty cool to watch.
If it is the rooted form, it's fine too, and some leaves might break off and root as floaters.

oh, there is 2 kinds :-)
Coverage is what I want to achieve, I saw those in someone "jungle theme tank journal" from this forum and thought they looked pretty cool.
For what I remember they had roots but were just floating on top of the water.
Would you post a pic of yours?
thanks

I will try...there isn't much of it right now. Somebody in my 55g tank decided it was a snack. Which is why it was in with the betta, and then I realized how much Sassy was loving it. I have salvinia too.
It isn't dense cover, just light shading, which is good if you have rooted plants too.

RABBIT FISH FOOD lol.
And also it does seem to be a favorite.

Well, guppies and rainbows will make a snack of almost any plant they can get at (at least IMO). The love the tender ones like water sprite, anything delicate(cabomba has no chance), and my bigger bows like to eat crypts, the smaller one with the thin leaves.
Really, many floaters would work. People also like amazon frogbit - I think that gets big long roots. Salvinia has shorter roots. Dwarf water lettuce also gets big roots. I have seen many photos where there is a combination of types that look very lush and jungle-like.

Wow...So even though i have crypto melt right now on my plants, that's why i see nibble marks on them.
Good to know.

I would love it, if he would like the plant enough to nibble on it, after all i am putting plant to make him happy, not the other way around
I have crypt in my other tank, it grows like weed for me but sadly no one nibbles on it.
