  1. Default POWER FILTER PROBLEM

Hi, my penguin power filter has quit working altogether, its only a few weeks old, i have tried everything to get it started, cleaned it out, impeller is clear, i have tried everything, rang Marineland and they told me to take it back to store where i bought it, thats ok but cant go till tomorrow, worried about fish, i have 2 bubble wands in tank, and i put in a filter that i got with the tank, its better than nothing, but i am not sure about the Bio wheel, should i just float it in the tank till i get a new pwer filter? cos otherwise wont i lose the good bacteria? then tomorrow i can just put it in the new filter? i just got this tank clear and everything right, now i am worried things will start to go wrong cos of this. If i leave the wheel out of the tank, will the bacteria die and dry out?? please give me some advice, thanks.

Your fish will likely manage without the filter untill you get a new one. you will loose the bacteria in the filter but that can't be helped.
