Clown loach question
hi.
I recently moved my 5 loaches to a bigger aquarium. from 50g to a 150g.
in the 50g thy were not shy at all! playing and swimming out in the open. when i moved them to the 150g, they turned shy!! only come out when the lights are off. i have subdued lighting in the 150g. why would that be? anything i can do to get them to warm up in the new tank?
In the 50g they were with community fish. Swordies, tertras and mollies.
In the 150g they are with a 9" pleco, 2 x 3" angels and 2 x 2.5" IDs.
Regards

How many hidey holes do you have in the 150G? More you have more confident they will be. Also when did you introduce them? Fish can take upto a month to adjust to a new tank.
When you sai I'd's did you mean JDs? If not what's an I D
My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

Thanks for the reply!
They have 2 caves I made for them and some nice hollow driftwood, but spends most of their time chilling with the pleco in his cave. I just find it very weird that they suddenly got shy, they were so cute swimming with the swordies and tetras, always out and about!! now you only see them when the lights go out...
Excuse me, i am still new to the fish lingo, when i say ID, I mean iridescent sharks (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) I know this tank is still too small for them but it is fine now for their size. I do have a plan for when they are big.
My main concern are the little clown loaches, their colors also turned from bright black and orange to orange and grey. Do i have to move them back to the community tank or move some swordies in with them or what must i do for them to be happy again?
