I've always loved Harlequin Rasboras but your Lamb Chops are realy colorful.

I had three Lamb Chops that came in a shipment with harlequins. It never seemed to bother them that there were only three, they just schooled right along with the 20 harleys.

The three Trigonostigma species are so close that you need to look well to distinguish them. When I both the espei I bought them because they happened to be cheaper and healther looking than the other two species. I think all three do well if you supply reasonably soft water, plant cover and some leaf litter.

At this time I'm still not sure if I should add a few more or if I want some colour contrast. I've not done the humble neon in more than a decade and I'm quite tempted to give them a go. On the other hand, I'm down to 5 lambchops now, 3 males 2 females (the 3rd female managed to jump out of a hooded tank this summer) and there's constant squabbling for dominance in the group now.

    What camera?

Did the water change and pruning today. That crypto is again really taking of. It was sold to me as slow growing!

I also threw out about half my amazonian frogbit. That stuff takes over otherwise.

Ahh..right. That's my trusty old Nikon D300. But honestly, any DSLR from the last 6 years or so is able to do this. I did use a 100mm macro lens for the closeups. IF you want to do fish closeups a macro lens around that focal length is useful.

Thanks! I'm finally getting javamoss to grow on that.

Also tested my new cellphone and got some mediocre video. That samsung app defaults to rather saturated and it's whitebalance isn't that great so the colours are plain weird.

But it gets the idea across.
