I'm a pleco addict - am in love with my 2. Great shots of your fellow. In the 2nd one , he's looking right at you.......super! And, IMO, your tank looks great.

Your lighting is so good in these macro shots - is it a 50mm macro? I have a 100mm and that combined with poor light makes is so hard to get sharp shots.

    Superb work. Love your photos.

Well, getting sharp shots is not easy. Previous owner left me a weird mix of T5 tubes in this one. For fish portraits I end up with a whitebalance of 4400k and +94. And this was my trusty ol' 100mm macro

I really need a better camera app for that phone. White balance is terrible!

Nice vid! They really like those leaves, don't they. I wonder if they'll bring out my Raph cats, like they do your Plecos.

That's not the leaf, that's hikari's finest algae wafers. Soon as one of those hits the water they're down there waiting for it to drop.

lol, oh. My SAEs act the same way. The Raphs actually do, too, but they're more in-and-out. They descend from their fortress of driftwood, eat as many pellets as they can, and then retreat. It happens in a matter of seconds.

I fed some broccoli and waited.... and waited... and big daddy came dashing from behind his tree. Moving from cover to cover and touching all the stones in incredibly fast sprints before landing on a piece of broccoli and start stuffing his face.

I think he is the cause of all the floating pogostemon I get all over the tank. Stuff just won't stay planted!

When I compare that to this two week old shot I think his bristles have definitely grown a lot:
