I am thinking of removing the "bubble wall" that runs along the back of the tank...
Think it may be making the water dusty, plus not huge on the look.
But I am thinking of replacing it with two small air stones in the corners. Was thinking about taking 1" PVC about the depth of the substrate and bury it so that the airstone actually isn't in the substrate
What do you guys think?

Tank's looking great Hardy. Well done. =]
Personally, I'd do away with the air wall, as I'm not a fan. I also experienced a weird whistling sound from my old air wall, too, which occurred after having it for a few months. Not sure what that was about.
I think a couple of stones can look pretty cool, though, but I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with the PVC pipes. Why do you want to put the air stones under the substrate? Is your current wall under the substrate?
That could be why your water is cloudy. It's kicking up dirt.

yea its under the substrate currently.
My thought was ok, 1" pvc about 2" long, stick it in substrate standing up with the substrate up to the top
then air stone in it. would be like burying the airstone, but with the substrate on top of it

I reorganized the tank a little, put some Flourish Root Tabs in, and unplugged the bubble wall for now... may try to remove this weekend, but don't want to create a nightmare doing so

Just an update
With the light fixture and flourish root tabs the plants seem to be growing great!
The moneywort probably has grown an inch per stem
Anubias Nana has a new leaf
Wisteria seems to be growing slowly
The Crypt seems to be growing a lot near the base, the upper leaves haven't grown, but the bottom is growing in thick
The sword isn't growing great, added two leaves, but seems to be fading... hoping it will come around in a bit
Just added 3 apistos and the tank dynamic has changed completely!
Zebra Danios are now schooling, the cherry barbs are all sticking together, dwarf gourami has claimed upper half of tank, while male apisto owns the bottom.
