Help!!!
My name is missy and last school year my daughter got 2 guppies for her kindergarden granduation that and to start teaching her responsability because we cant have dogs or cats or any uncaged animals where we live...but the point its been about 7 months and we now
have 8 guppies due to a friend who gave us 6 from her own fish tank.we have to females and the rest are males both of the females were pregnant and between the two we now have 3 fry i have them separated from the adult fish...now my problem is i cleaned the tank 2 days ago and put the proper amount of the water treatment in our 10 gallon tank...i should also mention that we also have 4 "sucker fish" ( Placosomus) and since the tank cleaning i have had 2 male guppies die and the water is extreamly extreamly cloudy. we can barely see the fish.this has NEVER happened to me before after a cleaning of the tank and i cleaned it the same way i have in the past.Does anyone know what might be hapening and can help and give me some pointers and advice on what and how to fix ths before we lose all our fish PLEASE

Sounds like you have too many fish in your aquarium, and not enough water changes are done in combination with not a large enough filter to handle the waste produced.
What size is the aquarium?
What filters do you have?
What is your aquarium maintenance schedule?

What kind of suckerfish? Most if not all kinds get too big for a 10 g I believe, also what are your water parameters? Could be a bacteria bloom from the extra fish. Is your tank cycled?
Edit: do 50% water changes a couple times a day until water clears upLast edited by Drose11111; 12-02-2012 at 06:06 PM.
