My ammonia is at .5 and my nitrItes have been at 5.0 plus for the past couple days.

I have been adding ammonia daily, but i had gotten confused and added the same amount as before. the .50 ammonia is also due to the time i started the cycle initially with one pinch a day of bloodworms, so they've probably finally decomposed under the gravel.

the tank is planted liberally with Cryptocoryne Wendii (five or six bunches transplated from my other aquariums)

What should i do as my NitrItes are a deep purple. Should i wait til the ammonia drops to zero as stated in lady hobbs's sticky?

Please advise.
