N. tretocephalus
I purchased 3 of these guys from "the ocean floor" in phx for my tang tank. Does anyone have any personal experience from these guys? One website said they aren't to common. I know they are tangs. I know hey are mild mannered until they pair and are a substrate spawned. Also called a 5 barred cichlid or a poor mans Frontosa. I just haven't found any articles about someone who has kept them. Any insight would help.

We have at least one guy on here that owns one that I know of. From what I've heard though they aren't that mild mannered and can tend to be feisty buggers

A pair will take over and kill just about anything else in the tank unless it's a really big one. Singles aren't usually a problem though, a generally medium-tempered fish if kept among a group of similar-size species. Check out cichlid-forum for more info, will certainly be posts there from folks who've mixed them with different species.
