About a month ago i brought a leopard pleco which was 2/3 inches long. I came home today to find it laying dead on the floor next to its cucumber. Is there a reason for this? Its been fine for the whole month eating fine. Is face had starterd decomposing. There are no visible signs of illness E.G. white spot.

I do hope you can help!

    Thanks AQUA_KING

Firstly, sorry for your loss. This could be many things & without a pic i would only be guessing.
Needed - pic, water parameters, tankmates & species of your plec. (leopard suggests L174 leopard spot pleco)If your fish is L174, this is a Hypancistrus sp. that require more protein rich diets that many other sp.
Please post back with details including tank size & tankmates as well as the other info. If you decide on another pleco, i will direct you to a site dedicated to Loricariidae. There you will meet pleco experts from the world over.
Again, i'm very sorry for your loss.

My pleco lived in a 31 uk gallon/37 us gallon which was 40" long 12" deep and 18" high. There is the filter that came with it and i put in an extra powre filter to keep the water crystal clear. He lived with 2 small 3" silver sharks, 3 female guppies, 2 angel fish, 4 serpae tetras and 5 neon dwarf blue rainbowfish. The water stats are all perfect.
