hi guys. i work in my lfs and have been quite content in my own little world of coldwater and tropical community systems for some time. today i was asked to take care of our 2 discus systems full time, the owners pregnant wife today found out she was having triplets, 6 weeks before her due date, with totally free reign and a reasonably modest budget to do as i see fit. our discus are in ok condition but it seems they take turns being unhappy and some attention is always required. i would love all help suggestions and advice on what i should tackle first, things to be doing and what to look out for to turn my discus from a box to be ticked to a shop show stopper and a reason for people to make the trip.
our shop water is ph 6.8, slightly soft, declorinated, and stable. i have a system(3x 48x15x12, with dividers to give me 332 for one, and 322 for the other, plus 2 48x15x12 tanks as is in isolation. the 2 systems being sump filtered) of asian discus, and one of stenkler. i dont want to over load you guys with data so feel free to ask. thanks. the lion

I would put in some driftwood. they love the tannins and the shelter. maybe even some live plants if possible.

In this community, there is no such thing as information overload. The more info we get, the better ^_^

The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of the act
