Still using my laptop, so it is just for the day, until 9 PM EST.
I'm hoping when I finally get a tower in the basement (I would have bought a refurb, but my friend insists he has one for me) I can get a better angle, and I assume the webcam I buy will have better resolution than the one built into my webcam.

Yeah, I had it pulled back earlier, but then it was hard to make out the fish.

LOL. I've got the water outtake shooting up out of the water to get some aeration , and I don't want it splashing against the glass or out of the tank.
I moved the camera again to get a better shot. Now you can see the Balas sometimes.
We're picking up a refurbished computer and a web cam tomorrow so by tomorrow night or Wednesday morning we should be streaming 9 am to 9 pm daily.Livestreaming my 220 Gallon Aquarium

Ok, so we set up a computer for the fish. We figure they're old enough to be online unsupervised now.

I'll be experimenting with angle/distance from the tank. I like how it is now, but you can't see the far right hand side of the tank, where a lot of the fish hang out. The Balas tend to hang out around that big drfitwood on the left. The tetras, when they aren't swimming back and forth, tend to set up base camp on the far right, just off camera.
So with the exception of tank/computer maintenance, and when my kid skypes with his grandparents, we'll be streaming daily when the tank lights are on, which is roughly 9am to 9pm EST.
I made a webcam stand out of a high hat and a 2 x 4.
