If you are getting a new tank in 9 months you should be fine...the people here can help you. You will need to do some research and water changes are going to become a staple in your life. This is a great hobby, one that I would have quickly given up if not for some of the people in here (I would have had a pretty tank with dead fish). Learned alot in the last month or so. Good Luck
