What fish is this?
Hi, I bought this fish cause I never have seen it before and thought it was unique. The employee at the pet store didn't know what it was. Sooo, what is it? Thanks

i don't know what it is but you cant go get a random fish
fish need specific water chemistry and tank size.
i would return it

It's a tattooed/dye injected platy.

If the employee at a fish store doesn't know a platy when they see one, it's time to find a new store!
If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.

Nope, It's tattoed or dyed. There's a difference.
GM fish are born that way, Tattooed/dyed fish go through an actual physical process that is probably about as pleasant as it sounds.

He's definitely tattooed or dyed. Likely will not live long...that's massive trauma and injury. Sorry for your bad luck, do research before bringing any fish home.
If it looks too incredible to be true, it probably is. Do the research, and please do not support dyed fish.10 gallon with a veiltail betta, 7 neons, 1 ADF, and one neat moss ball.
