    Default What fish is this?

    Hi, I bought this fish cause I never have seen it before and thought it was unique. The employee at the pet store didn't know what it was. Sooo, what is it? Thanks

    i don't know what it is but you cant go get a random fish
    fish need specific water chemistry and tank size.

    +1 I concur.

    Issues like this can be prevented by researching potential stock previous to getting a receipt.

    This didn't turn out so bad but there are MANY things you could have brought home that are FAR more dangerous to your other stock than a platy.

    Not to mention the variable water parameter/tank requirements already mentioned.

    If the employee at a fish store doesn't know a platy when they see one, it's time to find a new store!
