Anyone keep giant vallisneria?

I'm interested in getting some for the back of my tank. Any tips, recommendations, dos and don'ts?

I have some in my 55 gallon and it's nothing to have to cut off a good 5 ft from them. When they say giant, they mean giant.

LOL! Oops, ok maybe that's a bit big for my tank. I'm still tempted to see what happened to it though.

Do you have any photos of yours LH?

Here are a couple photos of mine. In the first one, the vals have grown all the way across the top of tank. And much of those leaves had been trimmed. The second photo was after a rescape and they were trimmed back more severely

Ahhhh, they look so good! Are you using CO2 injection for that tank? Thanks for posting those.
I'm just looking for something to experiment with that will reach the surface on my low-light, low tech tank. Everything I have (bar the crypt crispatula) tops out at about 20-25cm and I'd like something that could reach 55cm (depth of the tank).

No carbon dosing of any kind. The substrate is mineralized though.

Same with mine except Aeons tank is prettier. Mine are in a 55 gallon, grew up and covered the entire top of the tank the whole 4 ft across and then some. I use no CO2, either, in none of my tanks.
