Fixing a Discus when not eating
When I combined my discus tanks and rehoused the remaining discus together, one of my discus stopped eating.
Since frozen worms did not get the fish back to eating I added salt and raised the tank to 90 F. Took about two weeks (only replaced the salt once during WC) but the discus is now eating well.
While this may be coincidence or due to other factors, still, the process once again appears to have worked.Knowledge is fun(damental)
A 75 gal with eight Discus, fake plants, and a lot of wood also with sand substrate. Clean up crew is fifteen Sterba's Corys. Filters: canister w/UV, in-tank algae scrubber that removes phosphates and nitrates! Also, a highly dangerous commercial nitrate removal unit from hell

phongnguyen123, you might want to start your own thread about your fish, and when you do please post the water parameters, tank size, tank mates, and maintenance schedule.
Cermet, I'm pretty sure your fish just got hungry and started eating. After all, it didn't eat for two weeks. If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

Your fish probably has worms. Have you treated with metro yet? It's a 10 treatment with raised water temps to 90.
