  1. Default Plant only tank Question

I have low light plants in my 2.5g that I want to use the trimmings from to grow out in a 5.5g to plant in my future 75g (hope I haven't confused anyone - lol). The 5.5 gallon is going to be used as a "easy" plant only tank. It will be mainly consist of clippings from my wisteria and my anacharis at the moment. I was wondering if anyone else has a plant only tank and if so, is there anything special I need to know in regards to substrate, water changes etc?

I don't have any other tanks at the moment to plant the trimmings in and I just hate to throw them away. That is why I wanted to re-plant them temporarily in a plant only tank for now.

    Thanks

    Default

All new planted tanks are plant only. Takes a while before they are ready for fish. I don't throw away clippings. I compost them.
