Gold Severum

Is it possible to pair a green severum with a gold severum because they only have golds that are about 2 inches long at the pet shops ive been to and also could i keep the gold if i do get it with my gouramis, acaras, silver dollar, blackskirts, ghost, bristlenose and shubunkin till its big enough to go with the green severum and two oscars?

I'm looking forward to hearing all about your severum as I'm also interested in getting one. Heard they should be kept with others but I don't know what kind of aggression to expect if I ended up with all males. Also don't know if they will go with an oscar so waiting to hear what others have to say.

I just did a quick check on compatibility and it says: Severums should be kept as one male and many females. Goes with Blood Parrots, Featherfin Squeaker (whatever that is), Firemouth, Green Terror andTexas cichlids as well as Kribs and Tin Foil Barbs. Leopard or Peppermint Pleco's.

Severums are not polygamic and are best kept in pairs once a pair is established. It can however be best to keep a group of young fishes untill a pair is formed. my 2 c

they are not to hard to breed.
