A little set-back
Last weekend I got a Bicolor Angelfish as a tank mate for the lionfish in my 120 gallon tank. I added him to the QT tank with the other fish I got 2 or 3 weeks earlier. Two day ago most of the fish in the QT tank were showing signs of ich. I’m now certain there is ick in my QT tank . Good thing the wife started the copper meds as soon as the symptoms became visible.
Hopefully all of the fish will pull through.
I was hoping to have all of these fish in the main tank within the next 3 weeks, but it looks like they will be spending a lot more time in QT than plannedIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Although I had learned the value of using a QT set-up many years ago, I still hate seeing a sick fish and seeing them go through treatments to cure it. But I am glad that I caught it in time and I am very happy to know these fish have a really good chance now.
Thanks everyoneLast edited by Cliff; 11-10-2012 at 12:31 AM.

Well, the angel did not make it, nor did most of the other fish I had in QT. They were just hit too hard and stopped eating. Once that happens they usally get some type of secondary infection and do not pull throught.
Good thing that happened in my QT tank
I do have two new clownfish and a Anthia in there that are doing great and eating like little pigs. I'll keep them in QT for another 4 or 5 weeks just to be safe.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Sorry to hear this Cliff. I always heard the Bicolor's were supposed to not be easy. But the one I had was very hardy, actuly my first Marine fish besides the damsals I used to seed the tank with.

SUCK! - That's terrible Cliff but it couldn't happen in a better place [Than QT].
Here's to hoping for less of the same!
