I'm home with a sick Badgerling today. I decided to use the time to try my hand at making her some old-fashioned, Scottish-style, ghillie-brogue-ish mocassins. Not too awful for a first attempt.

Hi Badger. do you happen to have the pattern for those? I do a bit of leather work and it looks like a cool project.

My daughter thinks so--she really loves them! I made these from a scrap of old deer skin, so they're really soft, but will probably only last a few days. I'm going to try either goat skin or cow hide next. Then I'll go full-highlander and use the raw, hairy, still-damp hide of a freshly killed elk. Or maybe not.

Hope you're on the mend soon, Kat!
