Hi All. I know that many of us that are into fish are also into some of the more unusual pets such as Arachnids. I used to keep a few taratulas, scorpions and some other local spiders. I was thinking about getting back into keeping Tarantulas again. I also love reptiles but have minimum room so Arachnids fit the bill well.

lets here more from you who also keep 8 legged friends. what species are you keeping etc?

Tee-hee-hee. American Tarantulas are basically harmless. Not so for some other spiders. I hope you aren't planning to keep Sydney Funnelwebs or Fiddlebacks. But if you're brave enough to keep scorpions, I guess you would know how to handle (or not handle) those others. Sounds interesting. Not my cup of tea.
20 gal. high: planted; 5 white cloud minnows, 4 golden White Clouds, several RCS, 2 blue shrimp, 5 Amano shrimp, several snails; Azoo air. 65 gal: planted; 6 rosy barbs, 6 yellow glofish, 3 red glofish, 3 zebra danios, 5 white cloud minnows, 3 dojo loaches, 6 crimson spot rainbow fish, 12 large Amano Shrimp, several snails; AC110.

I am pretty much a hands off kind of guy as far as these creatures go. more for the sake of the critter than me. just like we do not normally handle our fish. of course even though most of the Anew world T's are mostly harmless I would still not relish getting fanged by one.

I have yet to decide what species to get

I used to sell bugs, all the more common types like emperor scorpions, red leg tarantulas, bird eater spiders and many others. I once got in a batch of death stocker dwarf scorpions (that I didn't order) which bred right away, and the babies where so small they could climb thru the screen top, nothing a can of Raid didn't fix! You might look into something like a Pixie frog, they come in designer colors, very pretty and live in small tanks well.
