    Default Where's my Assassin snails Clea Helena

    I have an issue with Ramshorn Snails, and the fish dealer told me to get some Assassin Snails which i did 5 of them put them in the Tank i could see 1 he was moving round but today he is just on top of ornament not moving and i Cant see the others any clues ?

    well the bottom is gravel and there is sand on top,

    but do they only come out at night ?

    Is the one on the ornament dead it hasnt moved it was defo moving around yesterday

    Probably fine. They sleep/digest a while after a big meal. It likely caught dinner and is just chilling till it's hungry again. :)

    Totally fine. When they're mating they can be stuck together 2-3 days and sometimes they stay in the same place that whole time.

    Many times, mine only half or 3/4 bury themselves, and leave a part of their shell exposed

    It's easy to spot, with the striped coloration and a light colored or dark colored sand...check your substrate carefully...how big is the tank?

    Haha don't be! I've sworn I had all the Assassins out of a tank only to over the next couple weeks pull 4-5 more! Larger tanks seem to take even longer! They are quite sneaky and good at hiding out, especially when they have sand. :)
