i have found it to be a pretty hardy species as i found one for sale as a clown barb and jumped on it. its the only one in my tank but i am trying to get a store to order me some more. i made the mistake recently of adding an algae killer which killed quite a few of my fish before i changed most of the water out, the rhombo barb survived. it likes acidic water and the water around here is pretty acidic. i have had no problems with this fish. very pretty. hopefully this month he will get his own school. but i will recommend them from the limited knowledge of this one that i have in my tank.
