    Default Is my tiger barb pregnat ?

    My female tiger barb has been very swollen for about 3 weeks. She looks like she is going to explode.

    Smile pregnant fish

    Your barb is not pregnant because barbs lay eggs and do not livebear. Your female looks to be full of eggs. The male chases the female around the tank and she'll drops her eggs on fine leaved plants and the male deposits his sperm. The eggs hatch in about 24-36 hours. Beware: Barbs will eat their eggs.
