    hello everybody !!!!!!!!!!
    i have a female swordtail that going to spawn i put it into another aquarium till now ok.when she spawns i take it away from the frys or leave it with them?thanks everybody in advanced

    Swordtails dont spawn since they are livebearers. If you have already separated the female its ok to remove her after she has all the young. It is not uncommon for them to eat their young

    Are you looking to raise all the fry? Swords can have quite a few young so you better make sure you have a home for them all, if you are not so fussed then allow her to give birth in the main tank and allow the circle of life and survival of the fittest to take place.
    My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

    Unless you need loads of swordtails for some reason I would just let them take their chances in the main tank. I gave mine away in the end because I had literally dozens of them in no time at all.
    165l/36gall imp/43 gall US with wood and plants
    5 neon tetra, 4 cardinal tetra, 7 dwarf rasboras, 2 leopard danios, 2 cobra guppies (m), 7 honey dwarf gourami, 3 keyhole cichlid, 9 peppered corys, 4 glass catfish, 1 red wag swordtail, 1 bristtlenose pleco, 5 otos, 2 african dwarf frogs
    ------------------------------
    16l/3.5 gall imp/4gallon US betta tank with plants and rock 1 apple snail
