fish tail question

it seems that on one of my long fin zebra danios tail fin looks nibbled/ missing and it was only in the tank with 2 other fish of the same kind... how could this happen and will it grow back or will it just have a hard time swimming until it dies :(

now he is just laying on the bottom not really moving much and all of his fins seem like they have been nibbled away or jus worn away and he cant swim good...what could this mean

You might want to post this concern in the general aquarium forum so it has more exposure - this is the "how to" section - unless a mod moves it.
