bicolor blenny hanging by heater??

Hello everyone. I just purchased a bicolor blenny 2 day's ago. Yesterday he was fine and active and today he is hanging out by the heater. If I move the heater he will come down and swim around for a minute then go right baco to the heater. Is this normal? The tank is completely cycled and has been running for over a month and a half. Ammonia is at 0. P.H. is at 8.3. Water temp is 76 degree's. Any help is appriciated. Thank you.

Temp is on the chilly side. Bump it up to 79 or 80 deg f.

Hmm still strange behavior for 76 degrees since I don't think that's really that cold... what other tank mates do you have in there? Is the blenny hiding behind the heater or just swimming around it?

76 deg could be even chillier if an inaccurate thermometer is reading high? Its simple to test,turn it up a few notches and see if the fish starts hanging out lower.

True true, I mean that is the obvious answer lol fish hangs out in hottest part of tank, make tank hotter lol I just thought I'd poke around at other answers lol

76 seems a tad low to me as well, I have all my tanks at 78. None of my critters hang at the outputs (warmest area) as I have nothing but inline heaters or in the refugium area...
