    Not really sure about pond size but you may want to check the game laws in your state. In many states it's not legal to keep them since they are gamefish. Just like it's not legal to have a pet deer.

    Ideally it would be pretty large. Can't give you a specific number, but I would treat them like you would a koi, only keep in mind they are predatory and will eat anything they can fit into their impressive mouths.

    I know in CO you can keep them, but you have to buy them from a licensed aqua-culture facility and keep the reciepts.
